Smitten by the Princess?

Aspen here again. Hmm, so strange. “James” Barney seems to really like Jewels. There is something about the way he looks at her muttering over and over “beautiful princess.” He spends a lot of time with her whenever she lets him. Even though Mom made the nice guest bedroom available to him, he chooses to sleep near Jewels to keep her company. He reads to her, helps to take her out to go potty when she needs to, and shows off to her. I must admit he is good on the ATV and sliding.

It’s very convincing how he seems to be falling in love with her! But I can’t help but wonder if it’s just an act to gain our trust? He even tries to be all chummy with me when he isn’t spending time with Jewels.

I’m not sure now. Maybe he IS for real? If not, then this guy is REALLY good.
Of course, it doesn’t surprise me. A lot of people talk about how pretty and beautiful my sister is. She was always the prissy princess type. I was always the tomboy, rough type. That’s okay. I’m not one to care about all that girlie stuff anyway. Mom and Dad mention often how she’s their “Princess.”
It seems the whole family is really liking this suave Barney guy! Even the twins are always talking about him, bringing him over to snuggle with Jewels and asking to watch his shows over and over again. Hmm. Maybe this guy really is genuine. But I will continue to watch him very closely.
I caught him snatching a kiss while Jewels was sleeping!

What does Jewels think of all this? I hope she is enjoying the attention – and he better be for reals!

We may never know if Barney’s for real or not. Maybe he’s trying to redeem himself after the riot he started here. I hope he’s nice to Jewels because she deserves it. And Aspen, you can eat Barney if he gets out of line.
